Gift for friend’s Newborn Baby

What is the best thoughtful and useful present for newborn baby.

A bib, socks or towel would be the standard gift. Also, baby clothes, baby tableware, toy, doll, picture book according to the baby’s months/age wold be pleasing present for new or expectant parents.

Even if there are already one bib or towel, another design of these standard items are useful. So, standard items will be helpful and neccessary for the baby and the new or expectant parents.

If you would like to add something special to your gift, why don’t you add a card with handwritten message.

Actually, we gifted a towel and a message card to our friend couple who got newborn baby recently. When we heard the news that a baby has been born, we are very happy and wanted to celebrate in some way, but due to the pandemic situation, visiting them immediately would be not a good idea for the baby and new mom. So we decided to send a small gift for now.

The name of the baby was so nice with the kanji of 生(live). The sound is universal and the selection of kanji is calm and decent. We thought that they have given a wonderful name for their baby.

Meanwhile, we had just updated the calligraphy work of 生(live) in our site, so we used the design card for the message card.

A simple towel and handwriting massage card are just a small gift, but we hope that we can convey big congratulation to the friend couple and baby:)

友人の出産祝いに何を贈ろうか、迷うことはありませんか。

実は、最近、私たちの友人夫婦に赤ちゃんが産まれ、タオルとメッセージカードを送りました。コロナ禍ということもあり出産後すぐに会うのは相手もご迷惑だろうし、だからと言っていつになれば会えるのかもわからない、せっかく報告してくれたので何かしら贈り物をしたいなと思い、タオルとメッセージカードのギフトを郵送することにしました。

その友人夫婦の子どもの名前には「生」という漢字が入り、音も漢字も落ち着きがあり、かっこ良くて素敵な名前でした。ちょうどこの【いずしょ】でも「生」の漢字をアップしていたので、「生」のデザインのカードをメッセージカードにして添えることにしました。

定番のタオルと手書きのメッセージカード、ほんのちょっとしたギフトではあるけど、お祝いの気持ちを伝えることができれば良いなと思います。
